The capital of the Philipines (87,857,473 people) is Manila. Languages in use two official languages - Filipino (based on Tagalog) and English; eight major dialects - Tagalog, Cebuano, Ilocano, Hiligaynon or Ilonggo, Bicol, Waray, Pampango, and Pangasinan. It’s climate is tropical marine; northeast monsoon (November to April); southwest monsoon (May to October). The currency is the Philippine peso and the country has an area of 298,170 km2. It’s phone prefix is +63 and the electricity has 220 volts.
